Prior to his current appointment, he was OCBC’s head of group financial crime compliance Singapore and previously held similar roles in Singapore, China and UAE for global banks including HSBC and Citigroup. For his work in the industry, he was conferred as an IBF Fellow in 2016.

Ms. Dieu is a distinguished banking professional, holding a Master of Economics in Banking and Finance from the esteemed collaborative program between Paris Dauphine, ESCP Europe (France), and the National Economics University. With a career spanning over two decades in the banking industry, she has notably excelled in her role as Director at Techcombank. In this capacity, Ms. Dieu has played a pivotal role in optimizing balance sheets, spearheading transformative initiatives in treasury operations, and leading the successful implementation and enhancement of Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) systems.

Jagan Kanthadai

Jagan Kanthadai is Managing Director in UOB, heading the Line 1st Credit Risk function at the Group level for retail portfolios across all five markets – Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. In his current role, he manages credit risk for both Secured and Unsecured lending portfolio covering all aspects of credit cycle - acquisition, portfolio management, collection strategy, model risk, loan loss provisioning and stress test with P&L responsibility for Cost of Credit. His prior role was Head of Credit Risk for Citibank Thailand, managing credit risk for a sizeable Unsecured lending book. His previous roles included stints in Credit Review, Product/ Business Management, Market Risk, and Financial Planning across multiple emerging markets.

Kunalan Pecheadavar

Senior vice president, head of group market risk

Mr Kunalan’s banking and financial career spans over 20 years, ranging from rates and credit trading, debt structuring, and advisory with multiple international financial institutions. His exposure to the various areas of banking has added value to his role in Risk Management and has provided insights into crucial balance sheet management and decision-making. His current role requires a spectrum of knowledge in Treasury Management, liquidity and interest rate management coupled with his function as an ALCO secretariat, responsible for positioning his bank’s balance sheet to take advantage of opportunities and mitigate any risks. The key enabler for his decision-making has been the initiation and implementation of BASEL liquidity initiatives and ALM systems, which are used alongside other technology as the bank embarks on Big Data and Machine Learning for optimum stakeholder performance and development.

Michael Araneta has over 20 years of experience in research and strategic advisory for financial institutions across the region. Immediately prior to joining AWS, Michael was head for IDC Financial Insights Asia/Pacific, leading IDC’s team of analysts covering leading banks and insurers in their digital transformation effort.

Siva has been with Red Hat for over 17 years and has been involved in open source technologies for more than 20 years. He has helped many enterprises (and ecosystem partners) including financial services clients, teclos and public sector organizations as a key architect to embrace Red Hat’s open source software solutions.

Ms. Manisha Khanna leads the Cloud, Data & Analytics practice at SAS Institute for Asia Pacific. Through innovative analytics and AI, SAS empowers and inspires customers around the world to transform data into intelligence.

In her role at SAS, Manisha works with various customers and regulators on solving business problems with analytics and driving value from their analytics and decision sciences investments. She is passionate about developing talent on analytics and essential topics like responsible AI, algorithms, and bias to consider across the entire innovation process. Manisha is also actively supporting Singapore’s efforts on Fairness, Ethics, Accountability and Transparency in AI.

Manisha holds a Master’s degree in Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and is a certified AI Ethics professional. Manisha is a published author on predictive analytics & financial crime topics in IEEE and ACAMS journals. She is currently pursuing Masters in Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore in Artificial Intelligence & Management. In addition, she regularly speaks on topics of trustworthy and responsible AI, analytics in financial crime, anti-money laundering, decisioning in banking, women in STEM. Her recent speaking assignments include presentations and panels hosted by Big Data & AI Summit, Open Gov, IDG, Regulation Asia, Asia Risk, Asian Banker, IBF, ACAMS and SAS.

Prior to joining SAS, Manisha worked for Standard Chartered Bank where she headed the transformation program for establishing a Global Centre of Excellence and Digitalising operational risk & controls assurance covering 30+ markets to safeguard the business from enterprise risks including financial crime, fraud, information security, privacy. Manisha’s contributions in the transformation initiative enabled the bank to win ‘Best Data Analytics Initiative’ at the MEA Innovation Awards 2022.

Terisa Roberts is the global solution lead for risk modelling and decisioning at SAS, and has two decades of experience in quantitative risk management and advanced analytics. She has helped companies in financial services, telecommunications, government, energy and retail derive business value and make better decisions using risk analytics. Roberts has experience in regulatory compliance, IFRS 9, BCBS 239, model risk management and enterprise stress-testing. She advises banks and regulators on industry best practices in artificial intelligence (AI), automation and digitalisation related to risk modelling and decisioning, and in the responsible use of AI and machine learning. Roberts regularly speaks at international risk conferences on innovation in risk management.
